Bonaiuto, Gregory, MD

Dr. Gregory Bonaiuto graduated from Yale, earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and completed his internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the UConn Health Center. He has particular interest and expertise in sinus surgery, allergy, pediatrics, and head and neck surgery. A member of the faculty at the UConn School of Medicine, he received the Gerald Leonard, MD Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching and Advocacy.

While low-key about himself, he feels honored that so many physicians in the community have recommended him. “I pride myself on taking time with my patients, being available, and trying to listen to them,” he says. “Some patients require more time, and I try to accommodate this.” About 30 percent of his patients are children. In practice with six other otolaryngologists, he says his near-daily contact with residents is “not only rewarding but promotes continuous learning, and keeping abreast of the latest techniques.”
